Akshay Jayan

I design and build digital products, interfaces, and systems.

I work across product UI/UX, design systems, and frontend engineering — turning ideas into thoughtful interfaces and production-ready experiences.

What I can help with

Productized design engineering & Figma ↔ Code systems.

01

Product UI/UX

User flows, information architecture, wireframes, high-fidelity UI, interactive prototypes, and Figma systems.

02

Design Systems

Bridge Figma variables & design tokens directly to React/TypeScript components, Storybook, and production code.

03

MVP & Product Development

End-to-end full-stack frontend: Next.js, React Native, Expo, and Supabase to take prototypes to shipped products.

04

Websites & Landing Pages

High-conversion marketing websites, launch sites, redesigns, and responsive Framer/Next.js implementations.

Experience & Track Record

Production engineering & design systems impact.

I've worked across product engineering, frontend architecture, and design systems — with a focus on making complex interfaces clearer and easier to build.

How I work

Good interfaces are usually about what you choose not to add.

I like to start with the problem rather than the tool. What is confusing? Where is the experience breaking down? What will become difficult to maintain as the product grows?

From there, I work across product structure, interface design, reusable patterns, and frontend implementation. The goal isn't just a polished screen, but a solution that makes sense for both the people using it and the team building it.

Good interfaces need restraint — the same pattern where it works, the same language throughout the product, and enough flexibility for the system to grow.

Pixeldosa

A small design and engineering practice.

Pixeldosa explores the space between product ideas, interface design, design systems, and frontend engineering.

It's where I experiment with turning rough ideas into clearer interfaces, reusable systems, and polished digital experiences — while exploring how AI can become part of the design and engineering process.

Have something you're trying to make better?

Send me the messy version — an idea, a Figma file, an existing product, or simply a problem you're stuck on. We can figure out the next step from there.
